Lisianthus nodded and smiling sleepily, she said, "You're right. Well, where's my good night kiss so I could fall asleep happily?"

She was blushing a little as she made her request.

Anjela got up and putting on her hood, she said, "He didn't mention any details. He said that something was wrong and asked me to come. I have to go to them."

Lycoris faintly replied, "We-we have to fight as long as we can..."

There was suddenly an explosion at the door, as one of the men blasted through it with a powerful spell. They were two powerful sorcerers sent by Duke Collins to fetch Lycoris and Alex as well. One of them smirked at the couple and said, 

"Still fighting, I see? Not for long. You are coming with us and you don't have a choice in the matter."

Ryan smiled and leaning in, he gave Lisianthus a sweet, loving good night kiss.

Matthew got up and said, "I'm coming with you.  It doesn't hurt to have back up, just in case."

Alex frowned and replied, "I-I don't think so."

He cast a magical shield around Lycoris and himself and did his best to stay awake as long as possible.  He hoped that the shapeshifter would come to their aid soon.

(Getting sleepy so I'll get off for the night now but I'll post again in the morning.  Nite, nite, Love.  ^^)

Lisianthus returned the kiss loving, giving Ryan a sweet good night kiss of her own. Once the kiss was over, she giggled happily and said, "That was nice. Thank you, cutie. I'll see you in the morning then."

Although Anjela was about to refuse, she thought about the situation for a moment then nodding, she cast a spell and summoned a large sword in her hands. She handed it to Matthew and said, 

"In that case, you should be prepared. It is a fire sword; it will ignite in battle. We don't know what's waiting for us there but we must be careful."

The sorcerer laughed sarcastically and replied, "Oh just stop resisting, boy. There is nowhere to run and you can barely keep up. Make it easier for yourself and your lady."

He summoned a powerful energy ball and shot it at the couple. Although he knew there was a magical shield around them, he didn't expect it to be particularly strong, given Alex's state.

Nala meowed happily and smiling, Ryan replied, "I'll see you both in the morning."

He wrapped his arms around Lisianthus while Nala curled herself up at the foot of the bed.

Matthew nodded and replied, "I understand.  Let's hurry.  Alex needs us right away, right?"

Alex continued to stay awake although he didn't respond to the sorcerer.  He continued to maintain the shield, hoping it would last long enough for help to arrive.

Lisianthus cuddled close to Ryan and yawning softly, she said, "Good night, Ryan. See you in the morning."

She closed her eyes, soon falling asleep.

Anjela nodded and after making sure her cloak and hood were securely in place, she said, "Let's go."

She led the way hurriedly out of the house, running as fast as possible towards Alex's house.

The sorcerer commented, "Humph. Nice fight you're putting up but there is no escape. It's a matter of time."

He continued firing powerful energy balls at the shield to break it down. Meanwhile, his partner stayed on the watch, covering his back and securing the area in case anyone caught sight of the commotion.

(I think we can leave Ryan and Lisianthus until the morning.  XD)

Carrying the fire sword, Matthew quickly followed Anjela out of the house and towards Alex's house, hoping that they could help Alex fight off whatever was happening.

Alex found his shield faltering but he continued to maintain it for as long as he could.  He had one last trick up his sleeve in case the shield would fell.  He looked to Lycoris and weakly said,

"Angel, if you're awake, please I need your help."

(Yup, that's fine. XD)

Lycoris was barely holding on to consciousness but as Alex said he needed her help, she gathered all strength and faintly replied, 

"I-I am awake. Tell...tell me what you need of me."

Meanwhile, Anjela and Matthew were almost at Alex's house. As they were approaching it from a distance, they could see that the door had been blasted through and there were sounds of spells being cast to be heard.

Alex quietly said, "Lycoris, this man wants to take us away.  We can't let him.  I won't let him do that to us, so please...  We need to make him go away."

Matthew widened his eyes and said, "Yup, there's definitely true.  We must hurry."

(Hmm did Alex become immune to sleep spells or something? XD I am surprised he's holding up for so long when he would usually fall under their effect much faster before and all. XD)

Although Lycoris was almost in a haze, Alex's words got through to her. She quietly said, "I-I won't let them. They-they can't take us away or separate us, no..."

Her body and eyes started glowing in purple again, as she prepared to release her dark magic, angered at both men.

Anjela frowned and replied, "I'll barge in there and find out what's going on. Cover my back."

She ran to the house to go inside.

(Nah, he just has a strong will.  XD)

Alex was about to reply when the sleep spell finally took effect and he was knocked out unconscious.

Matthew nodded, readying his fire sword for any attacks.

(I see. XD)

As Alex finally fell under the sleep spell and his shield faltered, the sorcerer fired an energy ball at Lycoris before her magic would take action. She barely screamed in pain before she fell unconscious by Alex's side, finally succumbing to the sleep spell.

Anjela ran into the house and she was surprised to see the sight before her. Alex and Lycoris were both knocked out, and there were a couple of sorcerers who seemed to be on the verge of taking them away. She angrily exclaimed، "Hands off them! Who are you and what do you want with them?!"

She readied herself for battle. The sorcerer frowned as he saw her and Matthew and said, "None of your business. Get out of here for your own safety."

Matthew readied his sword, prepared for a fight.  He looked to Anjela, ready to take any cues from her on what they'd need to do.  He knew that they needed to find a way to get Alex and Lycoris to safety.

Anjela growled, as there was no option but fighting. She telepathically communicated to Matthew,

I'll attack but I'll have to shapeshift. My magic is mainly fire magic and I can't use that inside the house. Help me get them out of here and as far from Alex and Lycoris as possible. 

(Thanks.  I'm multi-tasking so my posts may be slow but I'm here.  ^^)

Matthew replied,

Ok, you distract them and I'll take the opportunity to get Alex and Lycoris out.  I'll use the back entrance.  They probably don't know about it.

Anjela replied,

Okay. Make it quick.


Without saying a word, she shapeshifted into a large, powerful creature-it resembled a lion in the human world but it was much larger and it had small wings. Roaring frightfully, she attacked both sorcerers, who were surprised by the change in her form but immediately cast their magic to hold her back.

Matthew saw the shapeshifter's change as his cue, so while the sorcerers were distracted, he quickly ran to Alex and Lycoris and carrying them on his shoulders, he moved as fast as he could towards the kitchen area, where there was a back entrance.

The sorcerers fended off Anjela's attacks but one of them caught sight of Matthew as he seemed to carry Lycoris and Alex away. Leaving his partner to fend against Anjela, he ran after Matthew and without saying anything, he fired an energy ball at his feet to knock him off balance.

Matthew turned around just in time to see the energy ball aimed at his feet and using his fire sword, he deflected the ball, aiming it back at the sorcerer.

(Ahh just making sure but Matthew is fighting while carrying both Alex and Lycoris on his shoulders? XD)

The sorcerer cast a small shield around himself just in time to deflect the energy ball. Deciding for another move, he manipulated the air under Matthew's feet to knock him over.

(He is strong but I see your point.  XD)

Matthew felt the ground under him give way and deciding to take a risk, he quickly put down Alex and Lycoris and then lunged towards the sorcerer.

(Ok. XD)

The sorcerer summoned an energy sword in his hands as Matthew marched at him and fended off his attacks, doing his best to overpower him.

Matthew continued to use his sword to fight off against the sorcerer and while doing so, he asked,

"Why are you doing this?  Why are you kidnapping innocent people?"

The sorcerer fought back against Matthew and replied, 

"It is none of your business! You're putting your nose where it doesn't belong. Get out of here and you can remain safe and sound-otherwise we'll have no choice but to hurt you."

Matthew furrowed his eyebrows and thinking of something, he asked,

"Did that Duke Collins send for you?  I know he attacked these two earlier."

The sorcerer smirked and replied, "Well, it is no secret then. The duke asked us to escort his fiancee back along with her friend, but apparently, they wouldn't do so willingly. You're on the wrong side, kid."
