Romance RP

The head chef smiled softly and replied, "You're welcome, miss.  We're very happy that you've liked the meals we cooked.  If there's anything specific you'd like, please let us know."

Lycoris nodded happily and replied, "I will. Thank you very much."

She then addressed Matthew and asked, "Would you show me the ingredients now, Matt? I'd like to see a variety of things."

Matthew nodded and replied, "Of course."

He approached the icebox and after putting away the foods that the farmer had given him, he took out some other fruits and vegetables and gathered them in his arms.  He then approached Lycoris and handing each one to her, he said,

"Here, Lycoris.  We keep quite a variety of fresh fruits and vegetables and you can touch and smell them."

(Getting sleepy here so I'll get off for the night now and go to sleep.  I'll check back tomorrow and post again.  Nite, nite, Love.  ^^)

(Sorry I haven't posted for a day. My internet was having problems and it disconnected completely. It's back now thankfully.)

Lycoris' eyes lit up with happiness and curiosity as she touched every single fruit and vegetable, getting its feel and also reaching out to smell them. She would wait for Matthew to tell her its name and what it was and listen intently. She happily replied,

"Wow, these are a lot of new things. It's really beautiful to know the ingredients behind all the delicious meals I tried before."

(Ahh I see.  That's ok.  I'm going out for work in a few hours (morning here) but I'll make this post before I do so.  ^^)

Matthew smiled softly and replied, "It sure is interesting, isn't it?  Meals usually require quite a lot of ingredients to make but they're worth it in the end.  And we usually try to keep as much variety as possible in case we're in the mood for something particular."

Lycoris nodded happily and replied,

"It definitely is and it's really wonderful how different they are although they all come from plants and trees, right? Nature is truly amazing."

(Back now.  I still have a few things to check online and also, it's pretty late so I'm not sure if I'll be able to post more tonight but I'll make this post now while I can.  ^^)

Matthew nodded happily and replied, "It sure is."

He handed a banana to Lycoris and asked, "Have you ever tried this one?  It's called a banana.  You have to remove the peel before eating it."

(Ahh I understand. ^^)

Lycoris touched the banana and after moving her hands about it, she curiously asked,

"It is pretty smooth and has a unique shape. What color is it? And how do we remove the peel?"

(Thanks.  Still pretty tired but I'll make this post since I have a bit of free time.  ^^)

Matthew replied, "It's a bright yellow color although the peel is the bright yellow while the inside is a paler yellowish-white color.  As for how you peel it, I'll guide you."

He gently guided Lycoris' hands to the top of the banana and motioned to her on how to peel it.

Lycoris smiled happily as Matthew guided her to peel the banana and as they did so together, she happily asked,

"Can I have a bite? I'd like to taste it. It sounds like it would be pretty sweet?"

(Last post I'll make for tonight but yeah, I wanted to do so before I go to sleep.  ^^)

Matthew nodded happily and replied, "Yup, sure.  I suppose it tastes sweet although not sweet like chocolate or oranges.  It's hard to describe so I'll just let you find out for yourself."

(Ok, nite, nite. ^^)

Lycoris nodded happily and then took a bite of the banana, tasting it and savoring the taste. Smiling happily, she said,

"Yum, it tastes really wonderful. I mean, it's sweet but in a different way, if that makes any sense. It has such a unique flavor."

Matthew nodded and replied, "I know what you mean.  It's a tropical fruit so it has a different flavor from the usual ones.  They're usually a bit more expensive to buy but they taste great so they're worth it."

He looked to the others and asked, "Would you like to try some, too?"

(Sorry about last night btw.  I really was tired since work ended late.  That's how it's going to be on Fridays for a while, at least until the end of this month.)

(Aww I understand. ^^ I know how it can be with work and all so no worries. ^^ I am not sure if I will be able to post today since I am supposed to go out with my mom later and all. I will post again if I could but I thought I should let you know and all. ^^)

Lycoris looked quite curious and asked,

"Are there any other fruits I could try? I know that some vegetables can't be eaten raw. Are fruits the same or are most of them edible as they are?"

(Ahh ok, I understand.  ^^)

Matthew looked thoughtful and replied, "I believe most fruits can be eaten raw although like bananas, you have to remove the peel before you can eat them.  Would you like to try a mango, Lycoris?  I don't think you've had one.  They're very rare."

(I am going out now but I'll make this post when I can. ^^)

Lycoris nodded happily and replied,

"I haven't but yes, I'd like to try one very much. Do we have to peel a mango too? Can we peel it in the same way we peel bananas?"

(Ok.  ^^)

Matthew replied, "Actually, we have to use a knife to peel the skin from the mango since the skin is tougher.  I'll go ahead and do it."

He took a mango from the icebox, got a knife, peeled off the skin and cut the mango into bite-sized pieces.  Handing one to Lycoris, he said,

"Here you are, Lycoris.  I'd like to know how you like it."

(Just back now so I'll post. ^^)

Lycoris reached out and after taking a piece, she tasted it, savoring the flavor. She happily said,

"Yum. It's so delicious and juicy. It's really, really good."

(Ok.  I'm going to sleep but I'll post before I do so.  ^^)

Matthew nodded happily and replied, "Yup, it sure is."

He gestured to Lady Penelope and the others and asked, "Would you like to try some, too?"

(Ok. ^^)

Lady Penelope nodded happily and replied, "I'd like to. We have mangoes too at the gods' world although I'd like to taste how they are here at the humans' world."

She reached out to try a piece as well and smiling, she said, "Yum, it's delicious. It tastes similar to how it is in the gods' world."

Matthew nodded and replied, "I see.  Are mangoes grown anywhere in the gods' world?  Here, they're only grown in very hot, humid places, like in the tropics."

Lady Penelope replied happily,

"We need such conditions for mangoes to grow back at our world as well but using magic, we can create them easily in certain places so we can grow mangoes at any time during the year and any place."

Matthew nodded and replied, "I see.  That is interesting.  Magic is quite convenient, isn't it?"

(I got back a little while ago but I'm still checking on things and I also have a bit of work stuff to do but I'll try to be back as soon as I'm free.  ^^)

(Ahh ok. I just got here myself. I thought things had calmed down relatively at home but it went crazy again earlier and all. :/)

Lady Penelope nodded happily and said, "That's true and it's used for all sorts of purposes at the gods' world."

Lycoris happily said, "There's that beautiful park there, Matt, that has all four seasons in different parts. I wish I could show you it."

(Ahh it's ok.  I went to bed early because I wasn't feeling well.  ^^)

Matthew replied, "A park with four seasons?  Is magic used to make that possible?"

He looked on with interest and wonder.
