William chuckled happily and replied, "I can't say no to this face. Dinner outside it is then."

He gently let Megan come off his back then led the way back to where they were seated so they could change back into their shoes and then head to have dinner.

Lisianthus smiled to Ryan and replied, "I know, cutie, but I want you to be safe. That's the most important thing to me right now. But, forget about me for a while and tell me. Did you leave the house? Where are you now?"

Nerine turned to Bryan and replied, "It's a different park from usual so you'll like it. There are four different sections of it and each section has its own weather and nature according to a different season."

She turned to Rosaline and continued, "You remember it. We used to visit it with Sia and Avi at times."

Rosaline looked thoughtful then recalling it, she nodded and replied,

"Oh yes, that place. My memory of it is a little vague but I remember it was a beautiful place."

Stacey and Megan followed William to where they put their shoes and socks and after briefly drying their feet, they put their socks and shoes back on. Stacey then turned to the others and asked,

"What kind of food are you in the mood for?"

Ryan couldn't exactly tell Lisianthus where he was and knew that he would have to lie a bit. So he replied,

"Ahh yup, I left a little after you did. The chancellor might think to look me there so I thought it best to leave. I'm at an inn right now just resting. I figure that it's best not to stay in one city for too long so I'm traveling from one place to the other and avoiding using my magic unless I need it."

Bryan nodded with interest and replied, "The park sounds fascinating. I've never seen such a place before. The gods' world sure is beautiful and interesting so far."

William replied, "I'll leave this up to Megan since I chose what we ate for lunch. What does my little pretty want?"

He turned to Megan, waiting for an answer.

Lisianthus nodded and replied, "That sounds like a good idea. The chancellor won't find you this way so you'll be safe. And don't worry-once my presence here is well-known to him, I am sure he'll forget about you. I wouldn't let him lay a hand on you, cutie."

Nerine gave Bryan a small smile and replied, "I am glad you like it, Bryan."

Rosaline nodded in agreement and added, "That's totally true. You know, it's been quite the long time since I've been here and I don't remember much, but it's still as beautiful as it is if not even more. And I am glad to enjoy it with you all."

Megan replied happily, "I want shrimp!"

Stacey giggled happily and replied, "There's a restaurant nearby that serves delicious shrimp dishes as well as some other seafood dishes. How does that sound?"

Megan nodded happily in approval.

Ryan was worried about Lisianthus' safety as she mentioned that she would make her presence known so he replied,

"Beautiful, you don't have to worry about me. I don't want the chancellor to attack you again. At least for right now, his focus isn't on you, which is a good thing."

Bryan commented, "Everything here is so new and fascinating to me and I am one lucky man to be seeing it all with my love and my friends."

William nodded happily and replied,

"Sound great. Lead the way, pretty."

He held Megan's hand and Stacey's arm, following them out of the beach.

Lisianthus nodded and replied,

"That's true and it does help. But I want you to be careful, cutie, ok? I know the chancellor wouldn't probably to able to find you but still. I want you safe."

Rosaline nodded happily and replied,

"Same here, my love."

She was soon done with her lunch as was Nerine although the latter hadn't really eaten much.

Stacey led the way towards the restaurants section of the town, with William and Megan following. They continued to walk for some minutes until they reached a small but cozy restaurant that had some patrons inside but wasn't crowded. A waiter led them to a table by a window and after presenting them with menus, he bowed and left.

Stacey then opened her menu and looking at the selections, she said, "There's some delicious fried shrimp as well as shrimp scampi and there's some crab and lobster dishes, too."

Ryan replied, "I understand, beautiful, and I promise that I'll protect myself the best that I can. At least I know you're well-protected with the soldiers and that gives me comfort. How's Melody doing? I miss her, too."

Bryan finished his meal as well and Alex did, too, although the latter didn't eat as much as he usually did. Seeing that everyone was done, Alex stood up and said,

"I'll go take care of the bill."

After Alex left, Bryan looked to Nerine and gently asked, "Are you feeling ok? You didn't eat much."

William took a look at his menu as well and after thinking about it, he replied,

"I think I'd like to try the shrimp scampi. It sounds delicious. What about my pretties?"

Lisianthus smiled and replied, "She is fine, too. I think she's more pleased now since she has company to enjoy with the other horses and pegasuses around. But she misses you, too. I can tell."

Nerine nodded to Bryan and giving him a small smile, she replied,

"I'm alright. I just don't feel very hungry, that's all. But thanks for your concern, Bryan."

Rosaline noticed that Alex hadn't eaten much as well and knowing how he was usually, she could guess that he was still troubled by Nerine's behavior. She wished there was something she could do but she didn't know what.

Stacey replied, "The shrimp scampi sounds good to me, too."

Megan added, "I like the fried shrimp and I'd like fruit punch, please."

Ryan smiled and replied, "I hope to be reunited with you and Melody soon. It's going to be hard to go to sleep tonight without having you in my arms."

Alex returned to the party and said, "The bill's all paid for so we can head on to the park whenever we're ready."

Bryan turned to Rosaline and asked, "Ready to go, my love?"

William nodded and the waiter soon returned to take the party's orders. William asked for the dishes and he jotted them down then left to bring them.

Lisianthus smiled and nodding, she replied,

"It's the same here, cutie. I don't know how I will sleep without your arms around me tonight. We haven't even spent a day away from each other and I miss you this much."

Rosaline nodded and picking up the puppies, she got up to follow the party. Nerine got up as well and led the way to the park.

After the waiter left, Stacey turned to William and Megan and asked, "What would you two like to do after dinner?"

Megan looked at William cutely and replied, "I'll do whatever William wants!"

Ryan replied, "I feel exactly the same, beautiful. Remember to take the potion before you go to sleep, ok? Then you'll only have happy dreams about us."

Alex escorted Nerine by the arm as he walked next to her, heading to the park. As the party walked, he turned to Nerine and said,

"I've missed these times, darling. We should have more of them."

William chuckled happily upon seeing Megan's cute look and looking thoughtful, he replied,

"How about we just walk around the town and explore? I'd like to see how it is at night."

Lisianthus nodded and replied, "Yup, no worries. I'll make sure to take it."

She paused for a moment then continued,

"I should get going now, cutie. The duke and others must be waiting for me. I'll talk to you later, ok? Take care of yourself."

Nerine didn't reply immediately to what Alex said but after a moment, she replied quietly,

"You did, my lord? I thought I was the only one. After all, you've had quite the better company than me. Why would you miss my company, my lord?"

Megan jumped up and down with excitement and replied, "Yays, that's the best idea! William has the best ideas, doesn't he?"

Stacey nodded and replied, "Yup, he definitely does. And I like the idea, too. We can enjoy the town while looking up at the moon and stars."

Ryan nodded and replied, "All right. You take care, too, beautiful. I'll count the minutes until we talk again. I love you so much."

He blew a kiss to Lisianthus.

Alex looked saddened for a few moments but then quickly, he smiled a little and replied,

"Your company is wonderful, darling. I'm sorry that I haven't been spending as much time with you as I should. But I do miss you and the quiet, peaceful times we've spent."

William grinned happily and replied,

"I am glad you two like the idea. While we're exploring, we could find some different places to carry out more activities. I wonder if they have a special place for music here, like a concert hall or even a small district. I am interested to know what kind of music they have here."

Lisianthus blushed happily and after blowing a kiss back to Ryan, she replied,

"I love you so much, too, cutie. Remember that always. I'll talk to you again as soon as possible. Stay safe and take care."

She then closed off the telepathy and went out of the room to go back to the others.

Nerine felt like snapping at Alex as he said those words, but she bit her lower lip and controlled herself. Apologies, excuses, sweet words...why was that all she heard? Where were the actions to prove it? Why did he continue to lie to her like that? Why couldn't he prove what he said for once?

Locking her anger and tears, she replied quietly,

"There are a hundred ways to get back those times again, my lord, if you really wanted them. You are the one in control of everything. But you don't bother, and I don't ask you to bother. Whatever makes you happy, my lord. I don't matter much."

Stacey replied, "Ahh I remember now. There's a band that's famous on this island for its music. We could go check it out. They play every evening."

Megan nodded and replied, "I like that."

The waiter returned a little later, carrying a tray full of their dishes and drinks. After he placed the dishes and drinks on the table, he bowed and left.

Once they finished talking, Ryan decided to go ahead and order dinner into the room. So he rang for a maid and then ordered dinner and decided to enjoy the evening as best he could.

Nerine's words stung Alex, hurting him. However, as he wished to avoid a scene, he turned his head to the side and didn't say anything more.

William looked at the spread of food before them and said,

"Wow, this is looking delicious. Let's eat."

Meanwhile, Lisianthus returned to the duke and other soldiers where they all had dinner together. The duke also informed her that he had contacted Duchess Irene and she was visiting them soon, which Lisianthus was pleased to hear.

Nerine glanced at Alex and observed that he looked away, probably hurt by what she said. But if he was hurt just for that, then what ought she to do when she was dying from inside? Wasn't she even allowed to talk her pain out?

But no matter what Alex had done to her, she didn't love him any less and she didn't want him hurt like this so she quietly said,

"Forgive me, my lord. I shouldn't have said that."

Stacey and Megan nodded happily and both began to eat their food. Megan commented, "The fried shrimp is delicious!"

Stacey added, "The shrimp scampi is good, too. How does yours taste, handsome?"

After the maid returned later with dinner for Ryan and she left, Ryan contemplated what to do while eating. All he could think of was to continue following Lisianthus secretly and if he was needed, to protect her. Although he didn't like not being with her and directly being able to help out, he felt that this option was better than being completely sidelined.

Alex turned to Nerine and although there was a little sadness in his eyes, he gave a small smile and quietly replied,

"I deserved it, darling. I know how I've hurt you and it kills me so. I think we should talk things through but when we're alone. How does that sound?"

He remembered Rosaline's advice and so would try to work things out with Nerine.
