| @Omega I don't really get what you mean either but I think I might have a rough idea on what you mean. Maybe the word you used to describe isn't very accurate. Could you try giving an example or explain what an emotionally immature person would be like?
You mentioned thinking like an adult... Personally, I don't really think this is an emotional trait as some adults may be rational thinkers but can still act very immature (This form of immaturity seems more like a personality trait)

| being emotionally mature means that you dont let your emotions get the better of you all the time, its when you know what time to be emotional and when to think with your head and not your heart.
i know of a few emotionally immature people. one's who dont understand the emotions of others yet judge them because of what emotions they see on the surface. basically if you are emotionally immature you are oblivious and you let your emotions cloud your judgment

| Well, I do agree with some of what Kaisuto said. I think that emotionally immature people don't understand the emotions or feelings of others. (Meh, I sure could name a few. -_-)
But I wouldn't necessarily agree about emotions clouding the way to judgment. Like if I had a choice between thinking with my heart or my head, I'd rather think with my heart any day. Otherwise, those who always think with their head could be called cold-hearted. Like when you decide on something, it's important to consider both the emotional and rational sides of things.
For example, I know of this one person who only thinks with her head. Like she made a really idiotic judgment call. A while back, she gave this bully back power even though she told at least a few people that she would never do that. Then she goes out and lies. It's like this woman doesn't think that those who were bullied are important. That if she ignores the victims, then that eliminates the problem. What a total ***** (expletive here lol). As you can see, I can't stand this person because she has lied numerous times among other things.

| I agree with Phoenix about the part on making decisions. How people make decisions may be different depending on the person's needs, personality and the circumstance. Person A maybe a logical thinker and makes rational decisions which can be also seen as unfeeling or emotionless by Person B whose decisions are made and driven by emotions. Person A can call Person B being overly emotional about the issue while Person B can say Person A is unfeeling and doesn't take other people feelings into account. Who is right and who is wrong? Both of them can be equally right or equally wrong. One thing about emotions is that though they may appear to be the same emotion but the intensity or the level of the emotional expression is different for each one. For example, A boy got an A on his science test versus a bride on her wedding day. Both the boy and the bride are happy about their situation but the level of their happiness may not be the same depending on how important that event is to them and what meaning is has for them and their needs. Pardon me if this sounded complicated, I might have used a couple of jargons or something like that. (I've been working on my research approval so at times I speak a bit "scientifically" ) | |
