Irene agreed with Ryan's suggestion as it was more practical, and nodding, she said,

"Yes, that could work. Perhaps if she understands how serious the situation is, she will listen to us."

Nerine nodded and asked, "But who should talk to her?"

Irene hesitated on that, as Lisianthus didn't feel exactly ok with any of them at the moment.

Alex replied, "She won't want to talk to me and I can't exactly blame her."

Ryan replied hopefully, "Maybe Sia will talk to me?"

Irene didn't immediately respond, contemplating within herself about the decision, but as Lisianthus would be careful at the very least not to upset Ryan or hurt his feelings, she thought he would be the best option. So nodding, she replied,

"I guess that could work. She may listen from you."

Ryan nodded and replied, "Ok, I'll give it a try.  I'll explain the situation to Sia but is there anything else I need to add?"

Alex replied, "Just tell her that we need to get to Lycoris right away."

Irene nodded and added,

"Try to get her to feel how dangerous the situation is. Make sure to tell her about Duke Collins' desire to get married to Lycoris. She will surely care about that."

Ryan nodded and replied, "Ok, I'll give it a try now."

Closing his eyes, he opened up the telepathy and reaching out to Lisianthus, he said,

Sia, are you there?  It's me.  I'm sorry for communicating like this but I heard that you've been refusing company for the moment.

In her room, Lisianthus was still as depressed as ever, unable to face anyone or talk to anybody. It was then when she received Ryan's telepathic message. He was the most person she wanted to get away from, for she couldn't face nor talk to him.

For a moment, she thought about not responding but thinking it would only make him go after her more, she replied in a tone that wasn't too cold but not exactly warm either,

Yes, Ryan. I-I want to be alone for a while. I'm sorry. We can talk later.

Ryan replied,

I wish this could wait but it can't.  It's about Lycoris and she needs our help now.


He then proceeded to tell Lisianthus about what happened to Lycoris and how she was now being forced to marry Duke Collins against her will.

Lisianthus was forced to listen to Ryan as he told her about Lycoris although she was immediately surprised and alarmed as she heard about the events, especially about Duke Collins wanting to marry Lycoris. 

However, she wasn't alarmed enough to change her mind about the matter. Her stubbornness and state of mind still drove her the other way. In the same tone, she replied to Ryan,

Alright, Ryan...but I don't understand why you're telling me this. What am I supposed to do?

Ryan replied,

Don't you want to help her?  She's your cousin, after all, and she clearly doesn't want to be with Duke Collins.  Didn't we always say that we'd take action if that was the case?  It is now and we can't just not do anything.

Lisianthus bit her lower lip and she had to make a lot of effort to control herself as she replied,

Haven't you decided to take this matter into your hands, Ryan? Why do my opinion and my help matter now? Haven't you all decided to keep me in the dark and treat me like I'm not even there when things could have been taken care of? Now you want my help? Sorry. If your decision has always been to take care of things on your own, then do so to the end. I don't care.

Ryan looked saddened and replied,

B-but how can you say that?  I-I'm sorry that we didn't tell you things before but we're telling you about this now.  I-If you don't care about us or Lycoris, what about this world?


(Just thought I'd remind you that starting tomorrow, my posting may not be as regular since my bf will be here and I'll be spending a lot of my time with him.  But I will check in here when I can.  It may just be at unusual times but yeah.  ^^)

Lisianthus bit her lower lip and replied,

Nothing will happen to this world if Lycoris marries the duke. He may be a jerk but he does truly love her so it's not like he's putting his eyes on her powers. You are telling me now because you need my help, and my permission to go against the duke. And I can't give you either even if I wanted to. Duke Collins is doing nothing wrong; Lycoris went there by her own will and she promised him marriage by her own will too.

Ryan replied,

That was the impostor agreeing and you know that.  Are you saying that you're just going to let our Lycoris be forced to marry that man even though she's clearly said that she doesn't want to do that?

Lisianthus angrily replied,

Are you trying to make me feel guilty, Ryan? I am not responsible. Haven't you decided to take this matter into your own hands from the beginning? Didn't you hide everything from me and you stood by that shapeshifter's side? Didn't you keep me in the dark all that time? Now you want me to help?

Ryan sighed sadly and replied,

Please, Sia, that's not it.  We're telling you because we don't want to exclude you from this.  But if you don't want to get involved, you won't stop us from helping her?

Lisianthus was silent for a moment, but she finally replied,

I won't stop you, Ryan, but...I won't be on your side, either.

She was obviously blinded by her anger and hurt that she was saying such things, even though she truly cared about Lycoris and wanted her back, safe and happy.

Ryan felt hurt by Lisianthus' words and replied,

I-I see.  I'm sorry for everything, Sia.  I-I can see that I hurt you and...


Suddenly, his head started to hurt and he couldn't keep up the telepathy anymore.  Alex looked on with worry, wondering what happened.

Lisianthus heard the telepathy go off but she didn't do anything. Her whole body was in pain and she felt as though the world's daggers were in her heart. There was no escape from the hurt she felt and she just couldn't take it anymore.

Meanwhile, Irene and Nerine observed Ryan's state as well and worriedly, Irene looked at Ryan and asked,

"Ryan, is something the matter? Are you ok?"

Ryan's body shook and looking tearfully at Irene, he replied,

"I-I tried to talk to Sia but she-she pushed me away.  She doesn't care about Lycoris.  She only thinks that we'll continue to leave her out when..."

Irene was worried as she observed Ryan's state and was surprised that Lisianthus talked to him that way, as she thought that she would be more careful knowing his sensitive state.

Gently, she approached him and rubbing his back, she replied,

"Calm down. She is probably still upset so that's why she said such things. Don't think about it for now."

Ryan nodded and doing his best to calm down, he took deep breaths.  Alex looked on with worry and said,

"It looks like we're on our own.  But perhaps we can call for some help?"

Irene continued rubbing Ryan's back gently then looking to Alex, she furrowed her eyebrows slightly and replied,

"Help from who? Are you talking about the shapeshifter and Lady Penelope?"

Alex nodded and replied, "Yeah, we may need their help since Sia refuses to have anything to do with this.  She's too consumed in her own anger to look past it and we don't have much time to get Lycoris out of there."

Although Irene didn't feel comfortable asking for their help, she had to admit that Alex was right. After all, they wouldn't be able to take care of things on their own completely. So nodding, she said,

"I suppose you're right. We don't have much of a choice, do we? But we have to avoid using force as much as we can. We don't want word to leak about this. It will damage Lisianthus' reputation among the people, and she certainly doesn't need that."
