Romance RP

Ryan nodded and taking the lead, he returned to Alex and the shapeshifter and said,

"We're done.  Let's go see Sia right away and explain things to her so that she can help us get Lycoris back."

The shapeshifter bit her lower lip and nodded without saying anything. Irene then led the way out of the chapel and to Lisianthus' office. She knocked on the door softly and said,

"Lisianthus? It's me."

Lisianthus' voice came from behind the door quietly, "Come in, Irene."

Irene took a breath and after looking to everyone else, she led the way to inside.

Ryan and Alex followed Irene inside Lisianthus' office and Alex gave the shapeshifter a comforting look, as though silently telling her that he would make sure that Lisianthus wouldn't hurt her.

The shapeshifter wasn't scared of Lisianthus; a bit nervous but she definitely wasn't scared. If anything, she was more worried about herself controlling her own nerves.

Lisianthus looked up as the party entered and she was surprised that Irene wasn't alone, but she also had Ryan and even more surprisingly, Alex with her. However, the greatest shock was seeing the shapeshifter with them, in her very own office.

Alarmed, she got up and angrily asked, "What is she doing here?!"

Alex immediately stepped in front of the shapeshifter to protect her and replied,

"Please, Sia, she's not here to hurt you and you're not going to hurt her, right?  We all have a common goal and that's getting Lycoris back."

Lisianthus was even more surprised as Alex defended the shapeshifter, confused by this sight. The last thing she knew was that the shapeshifter was an obvious enemy but apparently, things were changing behind her back.

Frowning as she became more conflicted, she angrily replied, "What is the meaning by this? What the hell is going on? Why is she with you?!"

Alex sighed and replied, "It's a long story but she's actually been helping me and I can use magic now."

To prove his words, Alex summoned a small fire in his hands and quickly made it dissipate.

This wasn't helping, as Lisianthus became only more confused. Frowning, she said,

"What do you mean, she's been helping you? Weren't you...kept hostage all that time?"

Alex replied, "I was but then I agreed to help her once I found out what her goals were.  She wants to restore the devils' world and I think that's a worthy goal to achieve."

Ryan observed the scene before him, wondering when would be the right time for him to say something.

Lisianthus' eyes widened in her surprise as Alex revealed that he was helping out the shapeshifter all the time. She replied slowly, 

"How long has this went on? How-how long have you been helping her out?"

Alex replied, "I can't really remember the exact date but at least a little after my darling was freed."

He paused and then added, "I'm sorry for not telling you sooner but I had a feeling that I knew how you'd react if you found out, regardless of the reasons."

Lisianthus didn't say anything but she was both surprised and heartbroken that even Alex had gone to the shapeshifter's side and had been hiding it all the time. Turning to Ryan, she frowned and quietly asked,

"Did you know?"

Ryan sighed and replied, "I knew some of it although not to this extent.  I would have told you.  I really would have but..."

He trailed off, implying that he thought that Lisianthus wouldn't understand if she had known what was going on.

Lisianthus had expected this answer from Ryan but this didn't make it hurt any less. She didn't say anything and although her look towards Ryan was calm, it had a lot of reproach and sadness.

Doing her best to remain composed, she replied, "What do you want now? Why is she here? Why haven't you come back with Lycoris?"

Ryan replied, "Well, that's the problem.  Lycoris' other self took over and she escaped with Duke Collins back to this world.  We need to get her back and find a way to get our Lycoris back in control again."

Lisianthus frowned and replied, "Duke Collins? She went with Duke Collins?"

Irene spoke up and said, "That's true. He hasn't come back here, has he? He must have headed to his duchy with her."

Lisianthus replied, "He hasn't come back, yes...But-but she went willingly with him?"

Ryan sighed and replied, "I'm afraid so.  I tried to talk sense into that duke but he truly is an idiot."

Alex nodded and added, "Definitely.  I mean, how can he not tell that it's the impostor in control?"

Alex's face was one of annoyance.

Lisianthus didn't reply right away, but after a few moments of quiet, she replied calmly,

"I'll contact him and try to talk sense into him or Lycoris. Maybe he can give her back if he realizes that it isn't the real Lycoris in control."

Ryan nodded and replied, "It's worth a try."

Alex replied, "Wait.  Sia, we should explain why that impostor ran off with that duke.  You see, our Lycoris wanted to sacrifice her powers to save the devils' world although there was a very good chance that she would have remained alive.  However, that impostor took over as the ritual was being performed."

Ryan added, "It's because she had no faith at all."

Lisianthus sighed and replied,

"I'll explain everything to the duke and hopefully he'll understand although...I can't promise anything. You know how that duke is."

Ryan nodded and replied, "We do.  Please do everything you can, beautiful.  I'd appreciate it very much."

He smiled kindly to Lisianthus, hoping that the gesture would soothe her a bit.

Lisianthus noticed Ryan's smile but she didn't return it nor there was any reaction. She only replied,

"I'll contact him now."

She then used her telepathy to reach out to Duke Collins and try to convince him to give Lycoris back.

Ryan sighed sadly to himself as he could see how upset Lisianthus.  He looked sadly at Irene and then down at the floor.

Meanwhile, Alex hoped that Lisianthus would be able to talk some sense into Duke Collins and make him see the truth about Lycoris.

Irene noticed Ryan's look and reached out to touch his shoulder gently, comforting him silently and reminding him that she had warned him so it was nothing unexpected.

Meanwhile, Lisianthus was contacting Duke Collins and fortunately, he had responded to her. She talked calmly to him, as she wanted to persuade him to see the truth and knew that fighting would do no good. She tried to explain that Lycoris wasn't in her right state of mind, that this wasn't the real Lycoris in his company. However, Duke Collins wouldn't believe her, as Lycoris behaved around him the same as ever, and she only asked for his help after Ryan and everyone else decided to sacrifice her powers against 'her' wishes.

Alex wondered how Lisianthus' conversation with Duke Collins was going and telepathically, he communicated to the shapeshifter,

Do you think that Sia will be able to talk sense into that duke?
